After 10 years of experience coding 124thATC, I decided to dedicate myself to building a new plugin, starting from a brand new codebase. NextATC carries forward all the experience and features I built into 124thATC, refined and pushed forward into a modern plugin for X-Plane 11 and 12.
NextATC will stay free, and it will grow over time. My goal is to listen to the community and make it a little better every day.
From now on, my efforts will focus entirely on this new plugin. With regret, that also means I will have to step away from the development of 124thATC.

Flight planning
SimBrief integration (no API key required) and an auto flight plan generator with real airway routing via Dijkstra on earth_awy.dat.
SID & STAR with restrictions
Full CIFP / ARINC 424 parsing, altitude / FL / speed constraints. Hover any procedure button to preview its route on the map.
Nav Display
Three views (Departure, Route, Arrival), live aircraft position, taxi route overlay, animated radar background and ICAO runway labels.
Taxi guide lights
Yellow lights on the taxiway surface mark the route to the runway, day or night. BFS pathfinding, smooth chamfered corners, lead in Bezier from the nose.
Parking selection map
Visual airport map with glow lines and live aircraft dot. Hover a stand to preview the taxi route, click to select. Gates and ramps in different colors.
Smart ATC monitoring
Altitude and heading monitoring tuned by phase (SID, enroute, STAR, approach) and aircraft category. Issues runway crossing clearances and detects unauthorized crossings or takeoffs.
Smart descent
Descent profiles per aircraft category with wind correction, segmented TOD calculation, and terrain clearance check. Mountain detection enforces a safe altitude margin.
Single key Handoff
One key binding drives nearly the entire ATC flow: tunes the radio, confirms readbacks, advances dialog options, handles initial contact when airborne without clearance.
